Over 100 BSR Employees Gather for First Annual Celebration of Excellence

Little Rock, AR (February 24, 2017): Over 100 employees descended in Little Rock yesterday for BSR’s first annual Celebration of Excellence Awards. The event was held at the historic Union Station in downtown. Coworkers travelled from five different states for a dinner, awards presentation, and party celebrating the company’s recent accomplishments in the multi-family industry.

“This was a perfect opportunity to acknowledge our team members for the work they do providing that exceptional living experience for our residents,” said President and COO Blake Brazeal. “BSR is a growing company but it is still a family company, and we wanted to celebrate with that family how all of the individual contributions help us to achieve the company’s combined goals.”

The inaugural Celebration of Excellence concept was created by BSR’s Training Coordinator Jennifer Gulledge along with Director of Human Resources Phillip Anders. Judging by the success of the first year it looks to become a staple of BSR’s culture moving forward. The evening started with a cocktail hour and tour through BSR’s offices. Then the group moved downstairs to Next Level Events for the dinner and awards presentation. The numerous BSR team members which travelled from out of state were treated to downtown Little Rock hotel accommodations and transportation to and from the event. Over 35 combined individual and team awards were given out for categories such as maintenance response, turnover reduction, and innovation.

“It was really fun to have Community Managers, Service Managers, and Corporate team members from all over the country here in one place,” said Community Manager of the Year, Krystal George, of Overbrook Apartments. “I am thrilled to bring this award back home to the Overbrook Team, but it was also great to see my coworkers get some recognition for the great work they do at the many BSR communities all over.”
