BSR Recognized as a Best Place to Work for Third Straight Year
LITTLE ROCK, AR and TORONTO, July 25, 2019 /CNW/ - For the third consecutive year, BSR Real Estate Investment Trust ("BSR" or the "REIT") (TSX: HOM.U and HOM.UN) has been named as one of the best places to work in the state of Arkansas by Arkansas Business and the Best Companies Group. The distinction was designed to identify and honor those employers that most benefit the state's economy, workforce and businesses. Companies from across the state were considered via a two-part survey process to determine the winners. The first part consisted of evaluating each company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics, while the second consisted of an anonymous internal survey of company employees to measure their experience.
"We are thrilled that BSR has been selected for the third straight year as one of the best places to work in Arkansas," said CEO John Bailey. "Our employees keep delivering impressive results because they are engaged in BSR's mission, and they know the opportunity we have as a team to advance our company together."
In the past 12 months BSR has completed acquisitions of three properties, Towne Park in Northwest Arkansas and Wimberly Apartments and Riverhill Apartments both in the Dallas market, while concurrently selling six of its non core assets as part of its capital recycling strategy. BSR also announced the construction of a second phase of its Wimbledon Green property, located in Little Rock, Arkansas.
